Thamaga Pottery
About 12km beyond Kolobeng is a turn-off to the right to the village of Thamaga. In Thamaga at Botswelelo Centre is Thamaga Pottery Workshop. The Workshop produces and sells handmade pottery kitchenware of the highest standard. Thamaga pottery has in fact created a very reputable name for itself with buyers outside Botswana.
Tours of the Pottery workshop, with a small cover charge, can be arranged at the shop. Tours last about 30 minutes and will explain the whole potting process.
In addition to the workshop and craft shop, there is a picnic area, under a thatched roof, for visitors to enjoy a cool drink and snack. Cans of drink can be bought at the shop.
